ANOTHER KIND OF COMPASSION AND KINDNESS CTD
1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death." KJV
To step out of love is to step out of light and to step into death. If you are not acting in love you are not acting in light. During fellowship, we should allow the Holy Spirit express Himself by reproving us.
* Correction and restoration. Correcting and restoring erring brothers and sisters in fellowship is an act of kindness flowing from the place of deep compassion. It is not every one that can correct; only those who have compassion and kindness for the other and those walking in love. Jude 23 "and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." KJV
If you are going to correct someone then you must hate the sin and not the person; your interest should only be restoration. If you try to correct an erring brother or sister without compassion and kindness, you are not without error yourself. Knowledge without compassion makes a tyrant/bully/oppressor.
Compassion will pray for you, try to reach you, encourage you, advice you before it reports you.
*Teaching and training for empowerment. Eccl. 4:1 "So I returned and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter:" KJV
Mark 6:34 "And Jesus, when He came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion towards them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things." KJV
The highest expression of compassion your pastor or a man can express to you is to feed you with the right knowledge, to teach you wisdom, things that are applicable to life and every situation. In this kingdom, teaching is the highest level of empowerment. Teaching is a product of compassion. If you have compassion on those who are ignorant, you will be moved to teach them.
Passion for God that does not translate to compassion for man is merely human ambition.
