Matthew 6: 24-34 Our service to God through and to the local church must be driven by LOVE for Him not for side benefits. Once love is taken out of the equation, all that is left is ambition.
Although ambition in itself is not a bad thing, ambition without love in the Kingdom is not something to envy at all.
David is a perfect example of one whose love for God drove him to serve. It was never his ambition to be king.
When your service to God is not based on love, it will be very easy for you to miss it.
Once you take your eyes off of love, what ever you claim to be doing for God is no longer for God but for yourself.
Love makes a man a slave. Love is not weak; Love is aggressive. Love is fanatical.
When you are in love, you want to know the more whom you love: love seeks knowledge because by knowledge love will please the object of love.
Love will fight not with dishonor nor contempt. Love will punish you: Chastisement, correction.
Above all, Love is a call to sacrifice. If you want to be unforgettable in the Kingdom, let every deed be sponsored by love.
